What We Collect
When you use Podsnapper, we collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:
Account information: Your email address or Google account profile (name, email, avatar) when you sign in.
Usage data: The podcast/video URLs you submit, your selected summary length and language, and the generated summaries and audio files.
Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details — Stripe handles this securely.
How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
— Generate podcast summaries and audio for your requests
— Track your usage against your plan limits
— Improve the service and fix issues
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
Podsnapper uses the following third-party services to operate:
Supabase — authentication and database (stores your account and summary data)
Google — OAuth sign-in
Stripe — payment processing
OpenAI — text-to-speech audio generation
Google Gemini — AI summary generation
Cloudflare — infrastructure and processing
Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data required for each service to function.
Data Storage & Retention
Your summaries and audio files are stored in our database and cloud storage. You can view your history at any time. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the site.
